Access Financial Aid Information through your new :
For returning and registered students: Log in with your Sussex student email and password. If you are already logged in to your Sussex student email you will be automatically logged in to your Financial Aid Portal account.
New and not yet registered students will receive a separate email with instructions to temporarily access the financial aid portal until you receive your official Sussex email address.
Once logged on the you will be able to:
- View Financial Aid Missing Documents
- Be sure to select the correct award year from the drop-down options
- View and submit any requested tasks, forms, or documents needed to process your Financial Aid Award
- Submit Required Paperwork by the Due Dates
- Fall 2025 Semester: August 1, 2025
- Spring 2026 Semester: January 2, 2026
- Summer 2026 Semester: May 1, 2025
- If you do not submit required paperwork by the semester deadlines, we will assume you no longer require financial aid assistance. Your aid will be withdrawn and you will be held responsible to pay the full tuition owed. Aid will be reinstated only upon receipt and review of all requested documentation.

- Be sure to select the correct award year from the drop-down options
- If you receive an error notice, there is no aid loaded to your account at this time; please allow two weeks from FAFSA receipt. You may have eligibility issues that prevent us from determining an award package (such as Satisfactory Academic Progress, a student loan in default or other issues that limit your eligibility.) Please view your missing documentation for any outstanding eligibility forms needed.
- If you are not eligible for aid, consider opting into Federal Direct Student Loans sussex.edu/directloan
- View your College Financing Plan/Shopping Sheet.
- Be sure to select the correct award year from the drop-down options.
- Remember, this is not a bill and will contain information about indirect costs which are not filled by the school. The College Financing Plan is intended to help you compare costs and various aid eligibility.
- Special Circumstances: If a student's or family financial situation has changed since filing the FAFSA, a student may request a Special Circumstance Review. Contact the Financial Aid Office by email at [email protected] or call us at 973-300-2225.
- Unusual Circumstances/Dependency Override: If you have extraordinary reasons for not being able to provide parent information on your FAFSA, you may request a Dependency Override. Contact the Financial Aid Office by email at [email protected] or call us at 973-300-2225.
