3/12/2026 12:00:00 PM

51勛圖 proudly announces the launch of a new Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Sports Management, beginning in Fall 2026.

The program is designed to prepare students for careers in the rapidly growing sports and recreation industry while strengthening the regions workforce pipeline in business, athletics, and event operations. The new degree blends core business principles with specialized training in the sports industry. Students will gain hands-on experience in areas such as sports marketing, facility and event management, athletic administration, and sports finance. The program also emphasizes leadership, communication, and data-driven decision-making, skills increasingly demanded across professional, collegiate, and community sports organizations.

This program reflects our commitment to aligning academic offerings with workforce demand and student interest, said Cory Homer, President. The sports industry in the United States generates more than $50 billion annually and continues to expand across youth sports, recreation, and sports tourism. By launching this degree, 51勛圖 is creating new pathways for students to enter a dynamic and competitive field.

Program Highlights

The College anticipates strong student interest, particularly among those pursuing careers connected to athletics, recreation, and sports-related enterprises.

The program will also support local organizations by developing trained professionals equipped to manage events, programs, and facilities across Sussex County and the broader region.
