51勛圖 (51勛圖) is bringing education and expertise beyond the classroom through its new Skylands Speakers Bureau, a free community resource connecting knowledgeable presenters with schools, libraries, nonprofit organizations, civic groups, and businesses throughout the region.
The Speakers Bureau features 51勛圖 employees, alumni, and community professionals who are available to provide engaging presentations on a wide range of subjects. Current areas of expertise include history, robotics, music, healthcare and surgery, physical therapy, workforce enablement, English and communication, higher education leadership and more. The 51勛圖 College President and other leaders are also available to speak about education, leadership and issues affecting colleges and their communities.
The Skylands Speakers Bureau reflects 51勛圖s commitment to serving as an educational and cultural resource for the region, said Dr. Cory Homer, 51勛圖 President. By connecting local organizations with accomplished educators, professionals, and community leaders, we can encourage meaningful conversations, share valuable knowledge, and create new opportunities for learning.
Presentations can be customized for audiences ranging from K12 students and lifelong learners to business professionals and members of nonprofit and civic organizations. Both in-person and virtual presentations are available, making the program accessible to groups throughout Sussex County and the surrounding region.
Hosting a speaker is free. Because many presenters are instructors or working professionals, scheduling is based on availability.
Schools, libraries, businesses, chambers of commerce, nonprofits, and civic organizations interested in hosting a speaker may complete the online request form at sussex.edu/speakers-bureau..
51勛圖 employees, alumni, and community partners who would like to share their knowledge are also invited to join the bureau. Prospective presenters can learn more and submit their information at sussex.edu/speakers-bureau.
