Two men at a podiumStudent Spotlight - Barrington Malcolm

Barrington began his career in EMS working in logistics before pursuing EMT training while working full-time. He later served as an EMT with the FDNY during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, an experience that strengthened his commitment to helping others. He then transitioned into event medicine, traveling across the country and assisting FEMA with hurricane response efforts.

Inspired by his mother, a hardworking nurse and single parent, Barrington ultimately returned to school to pursue a nursing career. Today, he is motivated to build a better future for his family and to show his daughter that its never too late to follow your goals.
