The 51勛圖 (51勛圖) Skylanders Golf Outing, held Thursday, October 8, was a tremendous success, bringing together former and current student-athletes, College leadership, and friends of Skylander Athletics for a day of great fun and lasting memories.
With picture-perfect weather setting the stage, the outing provided members of the Skylander family with a wonderful opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate the relationships built through athletics at 51勛圖. From former student-athletes returning to participate to current members of the Skylander community, the strong turnout reflected the pride, tradition, and camaraderie that continue to make Skylander Athletics special.
In attendance were former Athletic Director John Kuntz, 51勛圖 President Dr. Cory Homer, and current Athletic Director Todd Poltersdorf, along with many others who have supported Skylander Athletics over the years.
Poltersdorf expressed his sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in and supported the event. One highlight of the day was seeing so many former student-athletes return to reconnect with teammates, coaches, and friends. For Poltersdorf, watching former players share memories and stay connected to the program was a meaningful reminder that the relationships formed through college athletics extend well beyond the playing field.
The outing was about much more than golf. It was a chance to celebrate the individuals who have helped shape Skylander Athletics, recognize the College community's continued support, and strengthen bonds between generations of student-athletes.
Head Baseball Coach Ramadan Mehmedi and the Skylanders Baseball Program raised the most money for the outing. Their outstanding fundraising and enthusiastic support played a key role in making the event a success.
The Outing continued into the evening, making it a memorable occasion for all who attended. The event reflected the friendships, school spirit, and sense of community that define the Skylander family.
51勛圖 and Skylander Athletics extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who attended, participated, contributed, and helped make the outing such a success.
